Additional ECU 'PowerMAP' for Alfa Romeo 1.4 TB (Chiptuning-Box)

Easilly mounted using plug&drive technology. Anybody can mount or dismount the PowerMAP within 10-30 minutes.

There are 3 plugs to connect to the Y-cables on the additional ECU. In addition the PowerMAP has to be connected to the battery of the MiTo.

The PowerMAP reads the sensor data with the multichannel-technology and sends them modified to the original ECU without changing the original characteristic diagram.

The DNA-Modes will work as usual, the increase of performance is three-stepped (D, N, A), each modus has more power than the original mode. The maximum of power is available only in the D-Modus. You will have ca 17KW/23PS more power at your disposal. Anybody who says they can increase by more is wrong, this is the absolute maximum with the small original turbo.

We recommend you to use petrol/gas with 98 or 100 octane (high octane, Ultimate, VPower etc). This is basicly not needed, only if you want to have the full power. We also recommend a sport airfilter and the Ragazzon sport exhaust with the larger diameter pipes.

Please note that the wear & tear will also increase a marginally, as with every type of chiptuning. Chiptuning uses the reserve capacity that Alfa has planned for the MiTo.

To protect the engine against heath problems under a long run with full power, the PowerMAP has a full automatic protection programme. After 90 sek. full run power the PowerMAP will reduce the additional power by 50% and after another 90 seconds the PowerMap returns to the standard programme. This protection is active only if you hold down the accelerator pedal permanently at 100%. After takng back the gas for a second (for e.g. to switch the gear) time, the period starts from the beginning. This is a feature to protect your MiTo, not to reduce your fun.

Pomijając to, że producent obiecuje złote góry, zastanawiam się, czy będzie to pasowało do T-Jet'a 1.4. Na stronie sklepu jest wciąż mowa o MiTo 1.4 TB, produkt pokazuje się w kategorii GP, ale jest też dostępny w kategorii Bravo 198.

Muszę przyznać, że możliwość zamówienia i ewentualnego zwrotu jest kusząca. Możliwość rozwalenia czegoś w moim NB już mniej.

Może wierzę w jakieś przesądy, ale ja bym się się od takich tuning - boxów trzymał z daleka. Nie ma to jak prawdziwy chiptuning, który polega na wgraniu nowego programu, map itd. A taki box z tego co rozumiem, odbiera sygnał z różnych czujników i modyfikuje go, aby oszukać ECU. Nie wiem, ale jakoś mi się to nie podoba.

Oczywiście wszystko zależy od podejścia konkretnego ASO, jednakże

gdyby powiedzmy padła mi turbina, jak Ci się wydaje, czy mogliby odmówić mi naprawy

gwarancyjnej po małym czipie?

Zresztą, również firmy tuningowe wskazują boxy jako rozwiązanie dla tych,

co boją się utraty gwarancji.
