2019 Phev v/s Tesla Model X

Hi, we regularly drive between the UK and Barcelona. Drive because we take along our dog with us. Usually, with the PHEV we take around 16 to 18 hours with 2 or 3 fast charges of 30 mins @ €6 to 8 per charge along the French motorway with the Newmotion charge card and around 4 to 5 stops in total including the charging. Average mpg is around 40mpg to around 45mpg with 2 adults, 1 kid and 1 dog and a boot full of stuff. The last time, we decided to take the Tesla. Hmm..though the drive itself was more stable and more pleasure, we had to stop around 5 times (around 1 hr each charge for an extra 400 kms) at various Tesla Superchargers which are NOT located on the motorway but near the motorways and we took around 30 hours to reach Barcelona! Ok, the superchargers are free for the first 6 months but if you miss one supercharger and thats it. So, the computer says that the car will drive around 400 kms but as we drove, due to the cold weather, the expected mileage kept on dropping and we could only do around 300 kms in 1 full charge. Next time, definitely the PHEV. The safety & convenience of having a plug in hybrid cannot be argued.

Podziwiam, że im się chciało PHEV łądować w takiej podróży... Te 30 minut ładowania starcza przecież raptem na 25-30 km na autostradzie w takiej pogodzie 😄 - tyle co 3l benzyny? Kompletnie bez sensu.

Udowodnili niezbicie, że jazda w trasę czymkolwiek co trzeba po drodze ładować nie ma absolutnie żadnego sensu.

Dokładnie do takiego samego wniosku dotarłem. Jazda na większe odległości Teslą to hardcore.

Nie tyle nie ma sensu co znacząco wydłuża czas podróży. Oczywiście wtedy pojawia się kontrargument - jak człowiek ma samochód za $100k to nie wybiera się na takie trasy samochodem tylko leci samolotem. Jednak nadal zostają trasy które są za krótkie na samolot a jazda elektrykiem dodaje 2-3 godziny w każda stronę.

Nie wiem jak w EU ale w USA ładowanie samochodu pozwala na zaparkowanie w lepszym miejscu.
